Introduction:

The Autumn 2026 anime season has gained its most delightfully off-kilter opening theme yet. On October 3, 2026, Surii (すりぃ) — the multi-hyphenate Vocaloid producer, singer-songwriter, and guitarist of rock band Aooo — officially released his latest digital single, "Raki Raki" (ラキラキ) — the opening theme for the TV anime #ゾンビさがしてます (Searching for Zombies) , which premieres the same day on TV Asahi's nationwide 24-station "IMAnimation" block. The song was written specifically for the anime, which is based on the manga by Katsuwo — the creator behind Mitsuboshi Colors and Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu. With its bright, propulsive melody and lyrics about finding hope in a world overrun by zombies, "ラキラキ" is a perfect musical companion to this "non-everyday" entertainment series. The song is available in high-resolution audio on platforms including mora, with a runtime of 3 minutes and 22 seconds.

The Sound: A Bright Anthem for a Dark World:

"ラキラキ" is a track that balances the chaos of its post-apocalyptic setting with an irrepressible sense of optimism. The song's title — a playful, onomatopoeic phrase evoking a sparkling, glittering feeling — captures the central tension of the anime: even in a world teeming with zombies, there is beauty, adventure, and joy to be found.

Why "ラキラキ" Matters:

A Perfect Match of Artist and Anime The pairing of Surii with #ゾンビさがしてます is a natural fit. Both the song and the series share a willingness to find beauty in unexpected places. The anime's protagonists discover that the zombie-infested world outside their village is not just terrifying — it is also vast, fresh, and beautiful. "Raki Raki" captures that same duality, pairing a darkly humorous acknowledgment of despair with an unshakeable sense of hope. The Power of Perspective Surii's central message — "The world can change its shape depending on how you see it" — is a profound reminder in an era often defined by anxiety and division. The song's refrain, "Even if it's despairing, even if it's decadent / Let's sing it out with 1-2-3," is not a denial of hardship. It is a choice to find joy despite it. The Vocaloid Legacy Continues Surii's evolution from Vocaloid producer to anime theme composer is a testament to the creative ecosystem that has grown out of Japan's internet music scene. Artists who once posted 60-second videos on Niconico are now writing themes for national television anime. "Raki Raki" is both a personal achievement for Surii and a milestone for the Vocaloid community he represents. A Song for the "Non-Everyday" The anime's official description calls it a "'non'-everyday entertainment" — a story about people living in extraordinary circumstances who nevertheless find joy, friendship, and adventure. "Raki Raki" is the perfect anthem for that philosophy. It is a song for anyone who has ever faced an impossible situation and chosen to keep singing anyway.

Conclusion:

Surii's "ラキラキ" is a vibrant, hopeful opening theme that captures the unique spirit of #ゾンビさがしてます. With its sparkling melody, lyrics about finding hope in a fallen world, and the personal significance of Surii's first anime theme, the song stands as one of the most charming releases of the Autumn 2026 season. For fans of Surii's work — whether through his Vocaloid hits, his solo singles, or his guitar work with Aooo — this single is a milestone worth celebrating. For viewers of the anime, it is the perfect musical gateway into a story about survival, friendship, and the beauty that exists even in the most unlikely places. And for anyone who has ever needed a reminder that the world can change its shape depending on how you see it — this one is for you.
