Introduction:

The Autumn 2026 anime season has gained one of its most emotionally resonant ending themes yet from one of Japan’s most intriguing next-generation music projects. On October 7, 2026, Rokudenashi (ロクデナシ) officially released their latest digital single, “Hoshi wo Meguru” (星を巡る / “Circling the Stars”) — the ending theme for the TV anime The Strongest Witch, I Started. (世界最強の魔女、始めました) , which premiered the same day on TOKYO MX and other networks. The song marks a significant reunion: it is the first collaboration between Rokudenashi and composer Aqu3ra since the release of “Hoshi Sabiyo” (星寂夜), and it was written specifically for the anime. A YouTube Live acoustic performance by vocalist Ninjin (にんじん) and the music video premiere both took place on the release day, giving fans multiple ways to experience the song.

The Sound: A Song About Love, Weakness, and Moving Forward:

“星を巡る” is described as a song that “depicts the tenderness of cherishing someone precious, and the feeling of wanting to move forward even while carrying one’s own weakness and hesitation”. It was written specifically for the anime, and the song’s themes align closely with the series’ story of a girl who, despite being exiled for her seemingly weak skill, finds the strength to keep moving.

Why “星を巡る” Matters:

A Reunion a Year in the Making The collaboration between Rokudenashi and Aqu3ra is a reunion fans have been waiting for since “Hoshi Sabiyo” (星寂夜). Aqu3ra is a Vocaloid producer and singer-songwriter known for emotionally charged compositions, and his return to the project brings a sense of continuity and artistic growth. A Song for the “Weak” Who Refuse to Give Up The anime’s protagonist, Rōna, is exiled for having the weakest skill class — but she refuses to accept that judgment. “Hoshi wo Meguru” captures this spirit perfectly. Its lyrics are not about triumph or victory; they are about the quiet, stubborn determination to keep moving forward even when you feel weak and lost. The line “I want to save you, but I also want to be saved” is a beautifully honest admission that none of us can carry our burdens alone. Ninjin’s Voice as the Emotional Core Ninjin’s vocal delivery is the heart of Rokudenashi’s sound. Described as “fleeting yet warm” , her voice carries the emotional weight of “星を巡る” with a tenderness that makes the song’s themes of loneliness and hope feel deeply personal. It is a voice that invites listeners to feel what the protagonist feels — to share in her journey. A Project That Continues to Evolve Rokudenashi’s model — pairing a single vocalist with a rotating cast of composers — keeps their sound fresh and unpredictable. Each song bears the fingerprints of a different creative mind, united by Ninjin’s distinctive voice. “Hoshi wo Meguru” is the latest example of this formula working at its best.

Conclusion:

Rokudenashi’s “星を巡る” is a beautiful, emotionally resonant ending theme that perfectly captures the spirit of The Strongest Witch, I Started.. With its lyrics of love and perseverance, the reunion of Ninjin and Aqu3ra, and the tender power of Ninjin’s vocals, the song stands as one of the most moving anisong releases of the Autumn 2026 season. For longtime fans of Rokudenashi, this single is another chapter in the project’s remarkable journey from TikTok covers to anime theme songs. For viewers of the anime, it is the perfect closing note to each episode — a moment of warmth and reflection before the next adventure begins. And for anyone who has ever felt like the weakest person in the room — this one is for you.
