Introduction:

The Autumn 2026 music calendar marks both a celebration and a farewell for one of Japan's most beloved voice actress-singers. On October 7, 2026, Nao Toyama (東山奈央) officially released her 4th full-length album, "OVER THE RAINBOW" — a 12-track collection that serves as her final full album before her hiatus from music activities. The album arrives approximately four years after her previous full album, Welcome to MY WONDERLAND (September 2022), and represents the culmination of her decade-long musical journey. With its "7-color" theme, a collection of anime theme songs newly compiled on an album for the first time, and an original song written and composed by Toyama herself, "OVER THE RAINBOW" is a heartfelt expression of gratitude and hope to everyone who has supported her.

The Significance: A Decade of Music, A Gratitude-Filled Farewell:

"OVER THE RAINBOW" is not just another album — it is a milestone release that encapsulates Toyama's growth as an artist and her appreciation for the fans and collaborators who have walked alongside her.

Why "OVER THE RAINBOW" Matters:

A Milestone of Gratitude "OVER THE RAINBOW" is not just an album — it is a thank-you letter to everyone who has supported Toyama's musical journey. The "rainbow" metaphor captures the spectrum of experiences she has shared with her fans, and the album's 12 tracks represent the colors of that journey. A Complete Retrospective By including 4 anime theme songs that have never before been collected on an album alongside new "7-color" themed songs and a self-written original, "OVER THE RAINBOW" offers a comprehensive look at Toyama's musical identity — from her anime work to her personal artistic expression. A Historic Release As Toyama's final full album before her hiatus, "OVER THE RAINBOW" is a historic release that will be cherished by fans for years to come. It is a testament to her dedication to her craft and her appreciation for the people who have made her journey possible. The "Mochibou-chan" Plush The "Osuwari Mochibou-chan" plush toy included with the Complete Production Animate Limited Set is a particularly special collector's item — a long-requested item by fans that adds a personal, playful touch to this milestone release.

Conclusion:

Nao Toyama's "OVER THE RAINBOW" is a beautiful, heartfelt album that serves as both a celebration of a decade of music and a tender farewell before her hiatus. With its 12 tracks spanning anime classics, "7-color" themed new songs, and a self-penned original, the album captures the full range of Toyama's artistry. The multiple editions — especially the Complete Production Animate Limited Set with its full live Blu-ray and "Mochibou-chan" plush — offer fans a final, comprehensive keepsake from an artist who has given so much to her audience. For longtime fans, this album is a gift of gratitude and a reminder of the joyful rainbow that Toyama has painted across her musical career. For newcomers, it is the perfect introduction to a voice that has brought life to countless characters and songs. And as Toyama steps over the rainbow into her next chapter, "OVER THE RAINBOW" stands as a radiant testament to everything she has been — and everything she will always be to her fans.
